Thanks for the lead. You saw the cast-in =[K]= logo, right? Do you know of any older manufacturers whose name started with a "K"? Also, I didn't see this until I cleaned them up, but the tee-handles on the spindle bolt are marked differently than the clamps proper. They have a "9865" part number and a Circle-M "(M)" stamp. (See the last thumbnail.) Could the clamps and the tee-bolts have been made by two different mfgrs?Lookup W.H. Salisbury manufactures electrical products for linemen and other electrical workers.

Hi Lump, it looks like an old Corvette C4 intake? But you would need to school a non-American like me on the importance of these items. Are they very rare or is it one of those OEM items that is sought after for its performance abilities? $20 sounds like a bargain either way.
Thanks.
Nice jack.. light assembly is there --looks like just the bulb and lens are AWOL

Looks Army to me!The web straps are too fuzzy. If it's heavy cotton duck it's very likely 40's or early 50's.

3/8what diameter is the hole that i'd put the lead into?
Thanks for the lead....they have a very unique shape on the inside radius which makes me think they might be some sort of hot line tap clamps for a very specific application.
No problem, Mike. When I snapped that picture of my stuff from this morning, I realized that one of my flea market bags (the BG-125 Signal Corps bag in the background) would be a good comparison for you and your cabinet straps. It's from WWII.Thanks for the info and time line!!!
Sailing is getting real slow and about the only thing left is professional (ie overpriced) estate sales. JDD (junk deficit disorder) is starting to set in. A few finds from the last couple weeks:
This little pile was $14. (WTB/WTT: 6" and 8" Crescent wrenches as jaw transplant donors for the duplex wrench)

This may sound strange, but that screwdriver looks suspiciously like one I saw at an estate sale in Milwaukie, yesterday. If that's where you got it, you missed myself and another GJ member who were there when the doors opened.
MIKE: love the old military cabinet and if you want to take a few more pictures and post it up over on the metal cabinet thread i started in vintage tools i'd appreciate it cause it looks like yours is in a lot better shape than i usually find them in. here's the link:

It was a long morning. Lots of driving, little in the way of results.
8 stops planned, all in different directions. Only 3 had hits. The other 5 were junk or lies. (although I did see 2 engine hoists and the tub from a parts washer, all overpriced) Spent $27.50 on the day.
First hit, third stop.
A family run estate sale. Had to pass on a delta floor DP w/third pulley. I just couldn't justify spending money on something I don't need or have room for. It was a tough battle. Spent $12.50.
6pk 100w light bulbs (they don't make 100w incandescent anymore)
Proto (USA) 1145 DBE 1" - 15/16"
------------- 1228 combo 7/8"
------------- 1222 combo 11/16"
Palmgren #000 angle DP/milling vise (the ways are religious (Holy))
Then the last stop of the day was at a house that I'd been to almost 2yrs ago.
The first time was an Estate company selling, this time it was the family doing a final sale before it all went into the dumpster. The house had finally sold. The first time was a mad cluster, the garage was so full that we were tripping over each other as well as the contents. You couldn't even get into some of the rooms, the doors were buried.
This time, almost everything was gone. I even discovered a staircase that led to a loft that I didn't know existed the first time. Unfortunately, there wasn't much left. I spent $5 at this stop.
3 totes (all different sizes)
partial spool of cord
Jensen (Japan) 4oz BP hammer
One of the middle stops didn't have any tools either, but it did have a pub table for the Mancave. The table is 42" tall and still has the $120 price tag from T.J. Max underneath. I got it for $10.

I had two planned stops to sales today,1 stop/meet to sell a Starrett combo set I listed on CL and a TOO appeared when I called a co-worker to inform him of some Kennedy boxes at my 2nd stop. I sold the Starrett stuff for $100 and proceeded to my stops.Total spent today was $95 leaving me with a $5 surplus
So between 3 stops I got :
Some 1-2-3 blocks,a Lufkin 24" combo square blade,a set of Wright wrenches,3/8-3/4"+extra 3/4",Thomas&Betts crimpers,2 wooden Jorgensen clamps,2 Bonney wrenches,Williams DOE,Snap On DBE,Tru-Test combo wrench,Williams and Indestro T wrench handles,a Plomb speeder and a Proto LA speeder, Blue Point brake spoon/pry bar,a caulk gun, handful of center drills and a couple bench grinders ,people say they are nice grinders to find in the wild![]()

I found this in a pawn shop the other day. It says Stanley No. 72 The two pieces slide against each other. it has wooden screws in a wooden holder.
Any one know what it is and what it is used for?

Some nice acquisitions, Jake! Was that last one the Stoneham sale we hit a few years ago?

On way to an estate sale I saw signs for a yard sale. Picked up some vintage phones and cords. All NOS.

$33 for all
That set is the definition of clean, lilredex. Nice snag.a Butterfield General Purpose Screw Plate in a very nice box ($20). The Butterfield set was made in Canada and could be from the sixties, most of the pieces are unused.
Curious - what do you plan to do with these? It's a cool find, but ...
Keep one and sell the rest. Looks like phones sell for $20-$80 and cords $5-15 each.
Today’s flea market take-homes before…
