It was requested in another thread that I show some details about the welding cart I made, so here it is.

Painted with 2-3 cans of Rustoleum red. Basic structure at the bottom is 2 x 2 3/8" wall steel tubing.

Nice.. I can tell from the pics and your commentary that this is one of those projects that you finished and probably thought "how on earth did I ever live without something meeting my needs this perfectly"

I built the cart immediately after I got the welder (2 Christmases ago I think) so I really don't have a point of comparison. However I will say (unlike some other projects) this fits my needs perfectly and there is nothing about it I would change.

Nice job, I like the extra storage built in to your cart.

Not trying to hijack your thread, but here is my home-made welding cart for another way to make one. Cheap HF hand truck, some angle iron, chain, ammo box for clean storage and and little rattle can.

I bet you don't say that when you have to lift that bottle in and out...That was the only bad part I seen otherwise its perfect.

I have to agree about the bottle, unless you have an over head crane to help with the lift. I do like all the other features of the cart.

Oh, it was a PITA, but still worth it. I would do it the same way again. It will be years and years at this rate before I have to have it filled again.

Both are great ideas....Pnuts uses a smaller bottle so it's not so bad....

38Chevy is set up more for every day use.....

Each one has advantages to suit the users needs....

Thanks for sharing guys.
