Lowes has the Werner D1216 16' Extension Ladders on sale till 11/29 for $65 (reg. $99). https://www.lowes.com/pd/Werner-16-ft-Aluminum-Type-2-225-lbs-Extension-Ladder/1059793

Cut up and pinned together with PVC pipe it is easy to make a light weight subframe for plywood decking that sits on the runner lips of your lift.

Each ladder is good enough to make a 66" long decking section. Decking your entire lift and leaving enough room for a rolling jack and jack tray should cost less than $200.

Forgot to save this thread and just had to search through several pages of "ladder" search results. I'm using this idea for the insulated hatch at our cabin. I hope your royalty fees are reasonable.

Great idea. I've been toying using my 4 post to create a paint booth underneath. Fit fans on either end of the deck and fill in the middle as you've done. Then hang tarps or clear plastic from the sides.
