Lansing Michigan restore is terrible. Needed screen door hardware, ended buying at Menards $2.00 cheaper, would not deal on price, I had tried on other items too.

One day my bride told me she wanted a new sofa for the den. She described the color etc . Two days later I was in the Re Store and they had just unloaded a brand new donation from a local furniture store which was exactly what she wanted. I didn't even wait for the price to drop. About 50 cents on the dollar and the best part is that I didn't have to suffer through looking through two dozen furniture stores. Yes she is happy with it .
If I don't find another deal there it was worth it.

We were at the right place and time last year. We just happened to stop by local Restore, and saw interior doors were on sale, iirc $2 or $3 a piece. I ended up replacing all of the hollow core doors in my rental property. I think 7 or 8 doors total. They look great after fresh coat of paint, and just made the property looks that much better. Sorry no picture to share.
Bought several box of disposable gloves. $4 per box (100 gloves) a few week ago. It was medical grade, but looking at the dates in the box, they were several years old, and probably pass some sort of expiration date. No problem for me!
I have bought other building materials, light fixtures, etc but never find any tools. I also have donated plenty of stuffs.
Today's haul...total 7 bucks and change
Did not see any of the new Craftsman drivers that Kaervak mentioned![]()
I went afar to visit a HFH store in the rarified atmosphere where Seinfeld's parents lived on the sitcom, Boca Raton FL. I presumed that if you want better-quality stuff, go to a better-quality community.
Man, I'm disappointed! The story was just about the same as the Ft. Lauderdale store. Nothing worth getting, and if they did have 'something,' it was priced so-high as to be stupid to purchase it. Some Black & Decker dirty, used side-grinder, $129! That's only three times what you can find them for, online! A bunch of used-up Ryobi powered tools, insane prices, nearly-new pricing! The only thing I found I wanted to buy was a group of 3 books, they were 5 for $1, but I couldn't find two more that interested me so I left with 3.
On the way home I stopped at the Ft. Lauderdale HFH, but there was nothing, I mean, nothing to buy. No tools, no materials, nothing. very disappointing. I did stop at another faith-based drug residential program that runs a big thrift shop and the best thing I found there was a complete Season 1 of The Unit. Dennis Haysbert is always a good buy, in that role.
I'm pretty-close to not-bothering to visit the HFH store unless I'm in the neighborhood for some other reason.

Does anyone else hear a vacuum leak?
Oh NVM. It's the post above mine full of ****.
That's quite a find. I'm guessing the stand is modified. Is that one of the Craftsman saws of that era that sat on a post stand like a bench grinder?
Today's score: Craftsman 8" table saw. Power Bronze in color to celebrate Craftsman's 30th Anniversary in 1957. $56
Thanks! I'm not sure about the post stand, but this is the 3rd saw I own that is like this one. This stand w/optional wheels, is super heavy. I unloaded it from my truck by myself.

Got this old looking wrench yesterday. Never seen this brand before - will try to figure out later. Sounded European but it is US made.

I stand corrected (see what I did there).
FWIW there is an example of the post stand type model I was referring to nearabouts to the 3-o'clock position in that image you posted (Courtesy of FrankLee). I'd seen a gold-colored one like that fully restored in one of our customer's shops a few years back and I thought yours looked to be similar just dropped into a frame, but I can see yours' frame bears a strong resemblance to the one in the one at the bottom left corner of the same shot.
