I made a purchase yesterday that was like $17 OOP. Did the parking lot pickup for the $10. As of now, I haven't received any points from the transaction... either the 30% bonus on the $17 OOP or the $10 for the parking lot pickup.

Does anyone know how long these points take the post?

"Points credit to account 48 hours after in-vehicle pick up is completed and are valid for 14-days."

and on the 30%,

"Points awarded next day and expire 7 days from receipt."

I'm wondering what will happen to by $10 pickup points if I end up returning the item I purchased. Need to get a different size in the item, but know their systems are too stupid to handle that. thought?

I haven't seen definitive reports on that situation, but I *think* it would let you keep the points - they were awarded for doing the pickup, not for the item purchased. If I were you, though, I'd try to do the exchange ASAP and hold off on spending the points until it's done, though (wouldn't want to end up negative).

Agree with Hexen. Exchange is probably the safest bet instead of returning the item, but I can not be 100% sure.

First the stupid Sears app wouldn't allow me to do in-vehicle pickup yesterday. Link did nothing in the app. Pulled the order up in the app, and it said it was eligble for pickup, but that linked to page that was no longer available. whole reason for my order was for the $10 in bonus. uggh

Then, they couldn't fully adjust a price mistake they made the last time I was there. They could match it down to the amount of points I paid, so I got my cash back, but not the other $8 in points I should have.

Then to top it off, the tool guy says he is counting down drawers, so i should checkout downstairs as it will be faster. Go there, HUGE line, and the escalator back up is broken. By the time I get to the elevator and wind my back to the tool guy, he says he is closed. there goes my bounce back coupon.

Funniest part was when they said it was really dangerous to go up the shut down escalator, because the steps were a different height than normal. uggh, Ma'am I know how to pick up my feet, but sure I'll spend an extra 5min in your mouse chase to get upstairs

How does the $10 in points for in car pickup work? Is that something I would’ve had to select when I placed the order?

There's a checkbox on the cart, but I think that's just for them to send you a link to the Sears app and instructions on how to use it for in-vehicle pickup. You should be able to use it after the order was placed (with $10+ spent out of pocket in it), just show up at the store with the app loaded on your smartphone, location services (GPS) enabled, and fingers crossed that the glitchy feature actually works that time. ;) Some people have successfully received the points from doing it, but it's definitely hit-and-miss to be able to do it. If you've already placed an order this week while the offer is running, in which you spent $10+ OOP, you might as well try it when you go to pick up. :)

No, you get it anywhere. They were closing & I suppose I could have waited like 15min down stairs, but didn't want to be that guy (again). Not exactly a convenient drive to Sears, but now a small chance I have to go back that way tomorrow.

I made a purchase total of $25, I used a "$20 freecash in points on $25 storewide at Sears.com", expire on 5/15/18. I goofed and picked the wrong store for pickup. I called customer service and they advised me to cancel and reorder. The 1st rep said I should be about to get the $20 freecash points back. The 2nd rep said I will lose my $20 freecash points. They both said the pickup store can't be changed.

So, am I SOL ? How long will they hold the items at the store? The pickup store is over 50 miles away from my house. I hate to lose $20 freecash points over a stupid mistake.

Ouch... that is a good offer to be at risk on. On an order cancellation, regular points used should definitely get restored, if things work properly (I've heard of someone intentionally cancelling orders to extend their points' expiration, though doing that multiple times in a row could cause a ban). Freecash surprise points offers are more iffy, see below. Coupons (the things with barcodes/numbers) definitely don't come back.

According to SD (written several years ago), "If returning an item paid with points that are now past their original expiration date, then those expired points are sometimes refunded with a new two week expiration. Their policy is not to refund Surprise Points after the expiration date for the offer, but you may want to contact them if they are responsible for an order cancellation."

So if the mistaken store is just not going to be on your way within the next month or so (Sears will keep your pickup orders for much longer than Kmarts will - call the store to be sure they know you'll come on x day, if you want to be safe), you are probably safe to cancel and see if the offer reappears on its own since it's not expired for several more days. Then if it doesn't reappear promptly, use the chat to ask them to make it right.

When SYW was doing those $5 on anything at Sears offers, I cancelled an order and it put the amount back towards the offer. That one though, you didn't have to spend all $5 to use it, so may not work the same as your offer.

But I have been told by a SYW rep in the past, the offer would re-appear if I cancelled an order that used it (never chanced it, as it's hard for me to believe). Ask in a chat with Sears, and if you get it in writing, that might help any frustration later on if you want to be our guinae pig.

The couple times I've chatted with CS they mentioned I would lose any surprise points when cancelling and order. Thankfully in those instances I didn't use them so it wasn't applicable...

Sears will keep your item for a month. You will start to get automated phone calls that your order will be cancelled if you don't pick it up before X date...

Great tip about the using the chat system. The customer rep was able to add the $20 surprise points (Freecash points) onto my account and placed another order for me.

Yeah, it would just be a regular link to the sears.com homepage if not for a bunch of unique-looking code numbers in it.

Heads-up in case anyone else notices this tonight and wonders if it's just them: Lists of my current offers on both sears.com and shopyourway.com have gone all screwy on me since midnight CT. I think the same offers I had are still there, but the system is having late-night issues and makes it look like they've all vanished. They'll probably reappear in a few hours.

Update: It looks like it's back to normal now (12:40am CT) on sears.com; SYW.com is still missing some but improving.

Yes... the Kmart survey $10 FreeCash deal is only good in-store.

None of my Sears or Kmart surprise points (aka freecash) are working right now, and I found plenty of other complaints about it around the web.

Unlike others, I don't have to click on any link to activate the offer. :dunno:

Just like last week, I opened the Sweeps Weekly email and the Sears/Kmart $5/10 freecash offer was loaded into my account.

Sears is so inconsistent :dunno:

It sounds like the offer system is still not completely fixed, even though the offers are all visible again. Like, they fixed the part of the system that displays them but haven't finished fixing the part that applies them to purchases. Hopefully it will be fixed before the $5 off $10+ expires tomorrow! I wouldn't attempt an in-store purchase until it's working correctly online too.

Update: And another $1 from Win List!

Offer glitchyness is still being reported. Some people say the $5 off $10+ is now appearing to work on clothing online, but hasn't yet been restored for other departments (it is supposed to work storewide).
Update: Appears mostly fixed now.
