The answer here is to HIT the report button. Please do not reply to SPAM posts. Just remember we lost a Mod recently and he was on the ball deleting SPAM.

What mod did we loose?
I hit the report button. Then I wait for the "timeout" and I hit it again. And again the next day.
Seems like there should be a system level option to get ridone of it. I figured since most of the overseas **** seems to get posted at 5am easter time, maybe lock new user creation st that hour.
If that isn't possible, I'd like to hear other suggestions. It seems like it's just a new "user" every morning.

Hit it once. That is enough. If they have more post just advise in the report. I removed nearly a full page of spam last night and I have been busy dealing with another spammer this morning posting (spam) links in many topics.
If you have any problems read the topics on SPAM. I often delete new users on location deception as they may say they are in the USA but the IP address tells us they are in Korea, Vietnam or Indonesia for example. Some times getting rid of them takes longer so your reports help.

One report per spammer. Hopefully once we move to Xenforo you can delete a spammer as over on the HAMB now two reports on a post will soft delete automatically. Once we have that here the forum will be 100% better.

For those reading this I have just banned member with multiple log on names >
ddpk01, ddpk02, ddpk03, ddpk04. Never posted but all his details in Vietnamese.
Many of you only see some of the spam. I have also banned a poster twice today with two names. Location listed as Bali and his posts just simple +1 as a reply but wih a spam link.
So if you see spam or a post that looks suspect hit the report button as that action nhelps us 100%. In doing this you are helping us run the forum and keep it about what we all enjoy.

Keep in mind, when you hit the report button for Spam, it only goes to Ryan. While it may not seem like it, he has to sleep sometime and may not get to it right away.
If Ryan would set it up for a few Mods to get the reports, it might get some of it cleaned up faster. I know sometimes, the spammers have a hey day and get the forum full

With Xenforo I am told all that will change and we see almost as much as Admin.
