so which one is better... dewalt or the milwaukee one....

I'm all Milwaukee (and Ryobi), but I would pick the Dewalt first, then the Ryobi. Not that the Milwaukee isn't bad, but it is the oldest, doesn't take an extension cord & I always thought there was an annoying "whirling" noise to it.

The Dewalt is IP54 water resistant, though the Milwaukee seems like it could be similarly rated. Dewalt has variable dial, Milwaukee has 3 speed switch.

Ideally I want Milwaukee to make a M18 Fuel fan, similar to the Ryobi Air Cannon or slightly smaller but oscillates. An M12 clip-able or magnetic mount fan would be cool too.

Nailed it. Less powerful, as well from what I've heard.

I got in on this at $89. Good deal. Not to be overly nit-picky but I don't like that the included battery doesn't have a power-level-meter built in like all my other dewalt batteries. Maybe I missed something and they discontinued that, or maybe it's just a cheaper version of the battery?

But I like the fan!!

It is so small of a battery that they just consider almost always empty :lol_hitti

Can't wait til companies run out of the cheapest cells and stop offering 1.5ah batteries. Only battery size with .5. Maybe it is the decimal I don't like.

The small ones in the cheap kits are actually 1.3 [emoji23] I have a couple and like the slim factor sometimes for some tools, but pretty useless on higher draw tools.

I think they finally quit making those, and boosted it up to 1.5. Agreed, they should all be 2.1/2.0s base (with charge indicator). But, when you get a drill, 2 batts, charger, and bag for $70 bucks, and it isn't HF...ig you can't complain too much.

Wife picked up one a couple weeks ago for $49 at HD. She didn't even tell me she bought it. She just put it on the work bench and left it there.

That is a hell of a deal. Not to mention a hell of a catch you have there, Gilbo.

Even better, is she swings by HD or Lowes thats both on the way home, couple times a week, after dropping the kiddo off at school. Just to check things.

She will top rafter check all over the store to look for an item, if there is a deal on a particular item we would need. She knows where they put the clearance items. Lately, when she finds a single item only left, she would go get the manager and try haggle a few more bucks off an item. It's worked a couple times.

She's a keeper!!!
