I have purchased a few times from them, but will no longer do so. I find their customer service lacking, especially when it comes to items not in stock. I'd inquired about something that was unselectable on the website, with no obvious reason given, to see if it was a stocking issue. I was told the product would be available within another week or so. Fast forward over a month and a half and still no dice. Only recently, more than 2 months late, does the product become available on the website.
Beyond that, I find that some of the products they sell are of questionable quality, at best. As an example, I purchased a file card from them (Mercer branded) and could not believe they would ship this to a customer. They don't come wrapped or boxed by the manufacturer, they're just thrown in the box with your other items, so someone at Empire apparently thought this was acceptable quality to ship out. Another reason I won't buy from them again.
Here's some pics of the Mercer (blue) that Empire sent me, compared with an Osborn file card.
I'm fairly confident that preschool kids can use scissors better than whoever assembled this.
I'm also sure that preschool kids can put glue down more accurately than this.
And this is the end result of not putting the glue where it ought to be. Literally falling apart on arrival.
Sorry to say but if a company lets this kind of product out the door to their customers, whether they produce it or re-sell it, they should be ashamed of themselves.
