I purchased the following 2 NWS pliers: PowerMax Fitting Pliers, model# 166K-49-250; and FantasticoPlus, heavy duty, side cutter, model# 138-69-200. I cannot wait to receive them! It was a pleasure talking to "ash95608" on the phone to verify stock availability.

Bought some more tools from Ash today. I picked these up this afternoon. I highly recommend Ash to anyone who wants to buy tools that he carries. He's a great guy to deal with.

ash95608,

This afternoon, I received via U.S.P.S. Priority Mail (took 2 days to arrive) the following 2 NWS pliers: PowerMax Fitting Pliers, model# 166K-49-250; and FantasticoPlus, heavy duty, side cutter, model# 138-69-200. I appreciated the great phone customer service; sending out the package on the same day of placing the order; low shipping fee; the individual packaging of the pliers in both plastic and brown paper; and the impressive initial quality of the pliers.

I used the side cutters to test the sharpness of the blades. The plier was able to cut RG-6 coax cable like butter .

I have one suggestion for you to consider. The U.S.P.S. flat rate envelope had a finger-size hole on one of the sides when it arrived at my mailbox. It would be appreciated if packaging tape was applied to all sides of the envelope for extra reinforcement (tape was applied to the envelope lid side).

I am very satisfied with my first NWS order from your company. You are at the top of my list for any future NWS hand tool needs.

Thanks and take care,

Dave

Never had that happen before with the padded envelopes, but I will take your suggestion and tape all sides of the envelope next time.
Thanks Ash

I wanted to updated this thread with another test I performed with the NWS FantasticoPlus, 8" long, heavy duty, side cutter, model# 138-69-200. I wanted to cut a narrow, vertical strip from the band of a 3/4" to 1-1/2" diameter, stainless steel, worm drive clamp. The NWS FantasticoPlus cutter sliced through the steel band very easily.

I then tried the same test with a Knipex model# 74 22 200, 12° angled head, 8" long, side cutter. The Knipex cutter was only able to score the steel band with its double blades. Here is a link to the Knipex side cutter: http://www.knipex.com/index.php?id=1216&L=1&page=group_detail&parentID=1367&groupID=1478.

The NWS Fantastico has superior blade sharpness and the hinged design provides up to a claimed 40% reduction in cutting effort. I can't believe the results of this test!

I purchased one of each of Ash's offerings, and I'm impressed both with the quality of NWS tools and the service Ash offered. My order arrived in a timely fashion is a flat rate box, which was in good condition. Care was taken to wrap each tool in both a plastic sleeve and brown paper.

This is my first experience with NWS tools, and I'm mighty impressed. The quality of machining and the fit of each piece is 2nd to none. These tools should give many years of service.

The titan finish is really nice. I bought these from Ash. Very fast shipping, great communication, well packaged. I could have ordered elsewhere, but wouldn't have been any cheap and probably wouldn't have gotten as fast. Very nice pliers, too...

Handles are extremely comfy - look how wide they are compared to a few other pliers:

Just got mine today as well, a set for me and one to be used as a gift for someone else. The shipping was fast, the packing was great and I couldn't be happier with the tools. These are the first NWS I've owned since hearing about them on this site and they more than lived up to the hype. Excellent stuff!

Well worth it and I'll definitely buy from Ashkon again in the future!

I received my 2nd order from Ash yesterday, i have been buying a few items at a time, i am hooked, these tools are spectacular, the quality and engineering in them is like no other. Ash provides a service that has been flawless, he has checked to make sure i have received my orders the very day they arrived, he will go out of his way to provide you with any questions you may have and his deliveries are quick. I believe it is time for a new rollaway, as my 41" upper and lower are busting at the seems. Gotta run now and figure out what my next order will be.

Looking for a nice cutting tool. DO you guys have one?
what type of cutting tool where you looking for. would it be for cutting wire, sheet metal, or some sort of saw. If you can tell me some more details I can see what we have available.
Thanks Ash

website is up and running, more products are on the way. also in the midst of ordering a full pallet of tools to try to keep most of nws tools in stock. Check it out www.german-hand-tools.com

Looked over your website, very nice! And now a question, your inventory listed as available in this thread, does that correspond to what you carry on your website as well?

Thanks!

At this time yes, on the website it will not let you purchase an item if it is not in stock. I have a order on its way it is due to arrive 2nd week of July as some items where on back order. Ultimately all NWS tools on the site will be in stock.
Thanks Ash
