New guy here, well, actually, my first post/thread. Neat site.

I bought an old Craftsman top and rolling bottom box the other day and it has a bunch of vintage tools in it. Craftsman; Snap-On; Plomb; Proto; Speedmaster; Williams; S-K; Bonney; etc.

This Williams S-55 is interesting; I've never seen anything like it. I've looked on the web and here and I can't find it. Just wondering if anyone has seen one. I'm sure it's not one-of-a-kind.

Also, there are quite a few Speedmaster sockets, and I can't find much on them either. Any info on them - origins, etc? Made by Wright for Wards?

If it's not too much to ask , anyone know the approximate era of the tool boxes?

Thanks a lot!

Nice vintage boxes. I have some of those Williams adapters but yours must be earlier than mine maybe early to mid 50's. The boxes look about the same but I am no expert.

Ya the boxes are from the 50s I have the same top if it is the 2 drawer that was my great grand dads the came in a 3 drawer to found the recept and paper work under the bottom drawer. Go to Rose antiques and search there old craftsman catologes.

It's a 3-drawer, Jim. Kind of a textured dark green finish.

Hi, just wanted to say i have the exact same williams adapter(S-55) Did you happen to find any info on when it was made? I inherited mine from my grandfather several years ago along with some other vintage tools. I use mine once in awhile still works great too!
