For those of you who have the Ultimate Garages by Phil Berg, Ultimate Garages II is scheduled to be released during October. The same format hardcover, 11” x 11”, 192 pages with 260 color photos. ISBN-13: 978-1893618-74-9, ISBN-10: 1-893617-74-9. There was a preview of the book in the Jul/Aug issue of Vintage Motorsport magazine. Looking forward to adding it to my collection.

Where is the preview from? Did you work on the publishing or something?

Any more previews? :)

The book has more museum garages than functional shops like you see on this board. Which is exactly why I hang out here.

Yeah,

what we need is a book for the "I don't make 250K+ a year and work on my own stuff for the average guy" garage book....

One of my biggest pet peeves about this 'This Old House' franchise. They used to take an average homeowner and transform the house without spending a million dollars doing it. Now all they show is projects that cost more than I make in a life time, and the same goes for their magazine....

Show me an article/book on building a garage on a budget, under 35K, with some of the 'how to' on a budget, and I would buy that in a heartbeat.

Hmmmm....maybe I should just write one myself? Would anyone buy it?

That's why I'm letting the subscription to 'This Old House' run out and keep the 'The Family Handyman' sub going. :)

Yep,

I let mine go a few years ago (TOH Magazine) ...then I got a renew for 9.99 for a year so I thought what the heck. Biggest mistake I made ever. Worthless pile of paper, nothing but advertisements and plugs for advertisements, reminded me why I let my Popular Mechanics subscription lapse as well....
