I am looking to buy some heavy duty shelves to stores wheels, heavy car parts (heads, clutch, cam shaft) so I want something that could easily handle 2000 lbs or more.
I found some at 6, or 7 feet but nothing higher.
I am looking for power coating finish.
I like the one where you can adjust the height of the shelves every 2" and put as many shelves as you want.
I would like them to be 6 to 8' long, 4" or 30" deep and as noted 10 feet high (my ceiling is at 13')

thanks for your help as I already spent hours online and did not find anything I like

I agree with the post above. Pallet racking is what you should look for. It fits what you are looking for and is available in all kinds of heights and widths.

We have it along one whole wall of our shop and it works great.

I agree. With those types of specs, a pallet rack is pretty much the only solution.

A quick check shows that MSC carries Interake at 10' and 12' lengths.

We found some used pallet racking for sale on craigslist. We ended up buying all the guy had. 18' high by 3' deep by 80' long. We had an 11' foot bed rack truck. We cut the uprights to 10'6" and took everything. It came with lots of 7' cross bars and lots of the heavy steel mesh racks. It will support approx. 5000lb per shelf. Cost us $450 for all of it. There are plenty of deals out there for used racking.

I found several recyclers from CL. Spent the same amount as buying a small heavy duty from Costco. Here's mine painted up and I added some nylon track and doors made from hardboard. Cut up several 2x8s as the shelving material. I could store whole engines without a worry.

Could you elaborate on the nylon tracks? Very nice and tidy look.

+1 on the nylon tracks. Really cleans it up. I bought new for above my benches
but they weren't cheap. Later I picked up a bunch at a liquidation auction for
$100.Much better deal...

search for "commercial" or "industrial" shelving or shelves on c/l. I see pallet racks on there all the time. I lucked into a store liquidation a few yearss ago and got a bunch of this stuff for a great prices. It alos pops up on c/l every once and a while. It is definately strong enough for heads, manifolds, etc.
