Just a heads up, you shouldn't be cleaning those old Plombs with a wire wheel. Pre pebble, most were cadmium plated. Cad is VERY bad for you! Do not inhale that stuff.

I know, it came to me that way :shocking: Great heads up though.

I use Evap-o-rust and a brass brush, then WD-40 and a steel brush. Maybe followup with a scotchbrite pad if needed. The piece is never "dry"
