Gearwrench roto warranty advice

Hi folks,
I recently bought the 2pc roto set from Advance Auto and had it shipped to my home. I just used the 3/8 and noticed that the grip was installed off center on the handle. I try not to be too picky, but since the grip is flat on the back side I find it kind of awkward to hold straight.

Any advice on warrantying this? I really would like to avoid packing/sending it back to AA and waiting for the return. Could I just walk into Sears or AA and have them swap it out or do you think they would even do this?

I did a whole of wrenches at home depot. two were dead and they replaced the whole set. Was surprisingly easy. I would think advance would change it out. Should be in their contract I would imagine. I'd give it a shot.

Sears sells the 2 pack Roto ratchets. I would try warrantying it there. Maybe if it still looks new, say it was a gift so no receipt?

Can ya twist it back a few degrees ?

Soft grips will usually move a bit, even when you don't want them to.

Thanks, I tried and had no luck twisting it even with cushioned pliers on the handle and a LOT of force.

I appreciate the advice. I am going to try Sears and I will follow up here.

Call the 800 number. Gearwrench reviews are mixed, but a lot of people claim they get new ones sent to them without any trouble.
