I am looking at a very nice Propane DV Wall Furnance that is about 18K BTU. I am fninshing up a 22x26 garage 9.5 foot ceiling. I bult it well it sits on a monolithic slab. I have R-19 in the walls and R-30 in the ceiling. I used Anderson windows double hung 8 of them. I have on entry door and a 9x10 instulated garage door. Outside walls are 4x8 Hardipanel sheets.

I want to keep it about 45 degrees most of the time since I will only be working down there on the occasional evening and weekends. At that point I will kick up the heat a bit to say 65 degrees. I want to DV so there is no CO issue and if there is a fuel leak (unlikely but who knows) I don't want the fumes sucked into the heater flame.

Since I live in Central Virginia it is pretty temparate in the winter. I really like the heater and the price is decent at about $325. Is 18K BTU okay for me?
