I am selling a number of tools for a very close family friend who passed away. I am wondering if you fella's could give me some knowledge on the price of some of the items!? A guy wants to buy a bunch of these tools and I am wondering what they are worth.
3/4" Drive 100-600ft lbs torque wrench. Never been used.
1" Drive Protolite set. Forged aluminum 1" drive ratchet, 1" drive/ 3/4" torque multiplier. Along with sockets ranging from 1 1/4"- 3 1/8". Made in Canada. 25pc set. Comes with snap-on case. 1" to 3/4" adapter as well.
21 Drawer beach toolbox. Rough estimate 66" high by 28" deep by 36" wide. On rollers. Made in Canada.
3/4" Proto socket set w/ breaker bar and ratchets. sockets ranging from 1"-4" 80+ pieces.

Your help is greatly appreciated. Unfortunately I am only 16 years old and cannot afford these Heavy equipment mechanic tools.

This stuff is crazy expensive new. I didn't know they made sockets as big as 4" in 3/4" drive. Here is a set from Grainger, it's only 29 pcs and goes up to 3 1/2" and it's $3,000

http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/PROTO-Socket-Set-5C913?Pid=search

so your set would be much higher than that new...

But the problem is finding someone who wants to buy it. In my experience 3/4 & 1" drive tools have the most depreciation of any hand tools... at least in my area. If that Proto set that you say goes up to 4" were in a pawn shop in my area I would say it would be around $500 if in good condition. Now you might be able to find someone in need of a set like that and get much more?

Brand and model of the torque wrench?

Pictures help a lot too.

Your location will also be a factor in selling prices.

The torque wrench is K-D tools made in USA. I live in Canada unfortunately. Vancouver, British Columbia to be exact. What would be a decent selling price to this fella that contacted me? Say as a package price.

Wasn't someone looking for the aluminum Proto ratchets a few days ago? Sort of got the impression they may be somewhat desired for their collectibility.

Sound like a very thorough set for the hevy equipment mechanic.

Turns out the 3/4" drive is 75pc. Comes with a ratchet, torque multiplier 3/4" and 1/2". 4 t-bars and 2 breaker bars. And my mistake, the sockets range from 1"-4 1/8".

Put it on Ebay for $.99 and advertise it in here. You'll get a fair price.

Always a good idea to get a few bids before selling an unusual and expensive item.

Adding good pictures to this thread might help the sale price a bit too.
