1945 Book of Tool Usage.

This is not a Tool,
But a Tool to using Tools the Proper Way.

A Friend found this Book and gave it to me...

It was Published in 1945 by General Motors...Using a Walt Disney Cartoon, "Primitive Pete".
Pete Goes through the Proper way to use tools.

Simply Called; the ABC's of Hand Tools.

I thought that you might get a kick out of it...so here is a Few Pages,

I had a copy as a kid. Lots of memories there.

The page showing the proper use of a 15 degree offset wrench with an obstruction is a good example of why I like having several different brands of wrenches, especially flare nut wrenches, in my box.

Some have zero degrees offset and some have the fifteen degrees offset. I've dealt with fittings before were I had to use two different wrenches in order to remove the fitting. Slow and tedious, but it works. :(

Box end wrenches are another one, especially six point ones. There are variations in offset there too.

Is there any chance of you scanning the entire thing and posting it?

That's all part of the learning curve. Who among us hasn't stabbed ourselves in the palm with a screwdriver while holding a small item and drying to break a tight screw loose on it? I've be very surprised if any of you haven't.

I'd be a little worried about any of us that do it daily or weekly though! :lol_hitti

I have already started to Scan it from start to finish, I thought of posting the entire thing.
I really thought that since everyone here works with tools, that everyone would love to be able to print a copy up.
