Well the little machine shop is about done, have a few more plaques and pictures to put up, the A/C is only 5000 btu's but it works good when it was
106 outside it would keep it at 85 inside, and it's not to hard to keep the floor cleaned up when useing the mill or lathe, so all in all I'm Happy with it:beer::thumbup:

This looks like a very nice compact shop!! Isn't this the shop that's build in a small shed ... sort of a large garden shed? If so, it sure is a fine job!

Is there any way you can post a larger pic??

Is that the mill from Precision Matthews (G0704 at Grizzly)? I'm looking at getting one if they ever are in stock :( I may end up with a SX3 instead...

No Amitygravel it is not a Gibson Byrdland,
I wish it was, it is a cheap Galveston, I do have a 1967 Gibson Blue Ridge,
but the Galveston does play good, I bought it more for it 's looks and just got lucky, the Gibson plays best out of all six I have, I had a 1940 Gibson about ten years ago that didn't play as good as the Galveston, any way here is a picture of my colection, Oh I started playing when I was 16, and now I'm 65
and never got any better LOL, Well maybe just a little Better,

Sonofagun, what a great idea. I would never have thought of dressing up one of those. It looks great inside!

On an unrelated note: you have very nice hair for your age. I'll be lucky to have one strand to coil around my dome by that time.

For the record, I am jealous, not gay :lol_hitti

Ah, now you're just rubbing it in! :spit:

Since the shed has no foundation, did you even have to pull a permit to erect it on your property?

Bull: no I live in the county so I didn't need a permit, and I bought the shed for about $ 3,200 and did all the inside my self, with the new milling machine and new grinder and buffer and a few other things I have about $ 6,000
in it all, Well thats what I tell the Wife, I do have a lot of room in side,
I learned how to save room on the six ships I served on in my 20 years in the Navy, What I wanted to do was to be able to work in the cool in the summer and warm in the winter, and it is working out Great, I even set up my Orber press and Vice so I could save space,

I'm curious about the rack with the box end wrenches. Is that just a board with some nails on it, or did you do something more involved?

Honestly never thought about storing wrenches that way, I love it!

Good to see your enjoying your little shop. Have you had any issues with your mill? what kind of projects have you done with it ? I have a coworker looking for one that size and we were wondering how well it is working for you.

The milling machine is a PM-25 MV from Quality Machine from Pittsburgh PA.
I have had no problems with it and it does what I want to do, I have cut steel,Alum. and plastic with it, they sent the wrong draw bar with it and I had to make a spacer to use it, they did send the right draw bar after a lot of phone calls, If I had it to do over I would get one from Grizzle, they have a better support system,

Great looking shop, looks to be just the right size for what you are doing. Your dog is a great looking shepard. My daughter had 3 of them at one time. Many thanks also for your service to our country.

Very nice layout. And excellent for the investment price. I have a Griz G0519 mill, very similar to your PM-25. Nice machine, damn handy. I'd love to get my hands on a PM-1236 lathe.

Great use of shop space thanks for sharing. Really nice dog and scooter too.
We get over to Hot Springs pretty often. Love the Hwys all around your area. Great for scooters and for top down driving too. We go up Hwy 7 to Jesseville for a burger from the Shack a couple times a year.
