Thought I would share some pics of this recently acquired catalog. Although, I don't think it is a complete list of the 1955 offerings, it is still quite interesting....well at least for me anyway.

Not really - I like the old catalogs and printable versions are always nice to have.

I picked up a D-8 12-ton Blackhawk bottle jack yesterday and while researching it I came across this thread.

Thanks.

I have my grandfather's S23, rusty but works great. Can anyone tell me what year it was made? Serial# B723509

DEAR CRTDI,

thanks so much, for scanning the BLACKHAWK 1955 Catalogue. I can see that the photos I have of my blackhawk floor jack are very similar... The handle twist knob is different in mine but its very close.

So it may be the Floor jack I have is from America in either the early 1950s mid or late 1950s or maybe earlier or later.

I would love to see an earlier BLACKHAWK catalogue from say the late 1940s... and early 1960s.

cheers

peter

CRTDI ,

Just as an Add on I noted that you are correct that it appears to be a s-23. I have made that assumption based upon the "SADDLE SIZE" of the floor jack is 5" so therefore it is a S-23.

Do you know if anybody has other blackhawk manuals of 1940s and 1960s?
