Here are a few shots of my 10' ISIS fan. It is installed in a 40x60x12' eave metal building. I was really impressed at the quality of the fan and its components. Even the packaging was top notch. The air circulation will compliment the Heat Pump operation and even my infrared LP heaters when needed. The control panel is also really nice. One very pleased customer.
Regards,
HAP

Re: My Garage Big *** Fan Pic's

Thanks. Nothing special at all. It runs on a standard 10A circuit and draws 2.6 amps or 207 watts max at the fastest speed (60rpm). The controller mounts in a standard wall switch box. Also, it only weighs 100lbs...

Some micro LED's on the blade tips would be cool.

Nice fan.

Those are all of the unsat attempts to get some air movement; all junk! I just installed the BA Fan 2 weeks ago. I think I'll just leave the junkies where thay are for now. All of the other 9 total floor and box fans mounted throughout the shop can not even come close to the performance of one 10' BA Fan. The savings in electricity alone is worth it, and the BA Fan is totally silent. I did the install myself at first without the one foot extension trying to preserve oh clearance (as seen in the pic's). However, the airflow just did not seem right (too close to the ceiling). I added the supplied extension last Friday and now it performs as it should:thumbup:

If it uses water for the cooling effect, it can create muggy conditions and they do not work all that well in high humidity locations. Not to mention that they take up floor space and produce some noise.
Just thoughts...

it did use water for cooling and the couple of things i was checking on was how much power it used to run and how much moisture it put into the air it put out. my friend only had it for the weekend and i was there maybe six hours and it went through one tankful of water in that time. he filled it with a garden hose so no information on how much water it held. space didn't seem a problem since it was on wheels and could be stored away for the winter. i already have fans but this summer we were melting in front of them so i'm looking to keep everyone a little cooler next year.

That has a lot of potential for my shop. How is that mounted? It looks like you have some peforated stock bolten between the purlins.

Yes, I used 2x2 12 gauge stuff. I only had to span 22" so I figured it would be plenty strong. However, they need to know what you plan to mount it to an they supply the appropiate mount fixtures i.e. beam, z purlin, wood rafter, etc. The z purlin kit they sent was massive and would barely fit into the opening of my ridge purlins. So I just fabbed one up to my needs. Their kit is designed to fit a span of up to 10', I only had 22"...

I was in the railroad museum in Roanoke VA a few weeks ago and they had one of the BA fans. I couldn't believe how much air it moved at such a slow speed.
