The wife wanted the Gladiator cabinets out of her garage and some other cabinets put in that we resurrected from my parents house along with a homemade long cabinet that I had. And while at it she wanted a bench. So after getting a few 2x4's a benchtop, and about 2 hours time, her and I had everything done. The caboinets will be repainted in a sating black and red lik others that I have seen. I just can decide whether to have the door red or black and the frames opposite :headscrat Anyways, here are a few pic of our accomplishment yesterday. Overlook the rest of the garage as it needs painted, and I can't do it until I get my shoulder straightened out:mad:

The last pic is where I mounted the Gladiators from her garage. It was the last piece of wall real estate that I had.

Very nice. I wish I could score some cabinets like this. I need to make friends in the renovation business, and help them dispose of stuff!

Amazing what a few 2x4's can do. I have a ton of wood left over by the previous owner of my country place. Made this folding work bench - makes room for extra ATVs if necessary...and an extension bench to where I work.

They look good Kevin.

I'd paint the cabinet facing black same as the outer frame of the door and then the center of the door red.

That is what I was thinking was black frames and red doors. One of the members posted his up and this is what gave me the idea.

The lower cabinets (right pic) look ok but I think there's too much red in the top/bottom cabinets (left pic)

You might be right with both top and bottom, but luckily I only have the one long cabinet that goes down towards the floor. And one thing, paint is cheap. If the red overpowers, I can redo it.

Well, here is how I got it painted up. Red cabinets with black doors, then painted the trim at the ceiling and baseboards black, then added a black and red stripe around the perimeter of the walls. I still have a lot to do but can only do so much at a time. My wife was helping me but then came down with something after her last treatment, so things were limited as to what could be done.

I still have the 'fridge to paint, then hopefully get the floor painted this year but I don't know if that will happen. Cold weather will be setting in before long.

But anyways, here is how far I made it.

Not really MAKE me put them up, but I had them and wanted them out of my garage, so they went into hers.

What surprised me was in painting all of that black paint, I only used one quart and hardly used 1/4 of a quart of the red. The wite was a different story. I used Valspar from Lowes and two gallons would not cover right. After two coats you could still see through th epaint. This was semi-gloss white over white primer :eyecrazy: The third gallon we opened covered great. But I noticed that the first two we used, when we first opened them it looked to be like an oil on top where the paint was not mixed. After mixing for about ten minutes it looked well mixed but seemed to separate after a short time. The rest of the paint was thick and mixed when we opened it but naturally we mixed before using. Those cans covered fine. So all in all it took 4 1/2 gallons to paint the garage. All of that over white primer. WTF???

Looks great Kev. I like the red stripe running around the bench frame.
