I built a 16'x32' lean-to style shed about 10 years ago, and it is overflowing, so it's time to add on. It has a 16' split sliding door on the 32' side, so it has worked great to get things in and out without blocking the door. Here is a picture after I wedged the slide in camper in the shed last fall.

I'm adding a 30'x32' two bay garage. The ground slopes up from the shed, so the pad for the building needed to be cut into the bank. A friend loaned me his New Holland skid steer, and it made short work of the hard shale ground.
I'm building a post frame garage, so I borrowed our Case loader from work with a 16" auger.
After passing my 7 year old daughter's inspection, I started setting posts with help from some friends, and my 10 year old son.
I installed the supports for the trusses next, then had the trusses, roofing, and other material delivered.
With help from some friends, we started setting trusses at 7:00 am, and by 1:00 pm, had it under roof. I installed 1/4" foil insulation under the roof, to help keep the garage cooler in the summer, and added two sky-lights.
Next was the wall framing. Because the garage is cut into the bank, I installed enough pressure treated 2x6 t&g to get above grade so I can waterproof the wall and add drain tile below the floor level.
Next was getting the floor ready for concrete. After leveling the pad with gravel, I installed 6 mil poly and 1/2" re-bar 2ft on center. The wife and kids even helped tie re-bar.
I got the floor poured after waiting on the finisher for 3 weeks.
I sealed it as soon as the concrete guys finished, so it could dry before I sawed joints in the floor.
While they were working on the floor, I installed the waterproofing membrane and the drain tile, then covered it with gravel.
Next I backfilled around the building and spread topsoil.
We sowed the grass seed and spread straw(I need to get more), now it can rain.
Next on the list is siding, it should be here next week.
When it is finished it will be 32x46, I also have a 28x30 garage attached to the house, for a total of over 2300 sqft of garage. Our house is 2100 sqft, if the Mrs finds out I have more garage than we have house, I'll be finishing the basement.
