Can someone please help me. Recently, my brother and I were cleaning out my grandfathers garage, under a workbench i found what i had always thought growing up to be a cabinet, was actually a 3 drawer roll around toolbox.

The sticker on it says that it is a remington remline tool box, but after cleaning more of it up it says that it is a remington remline tool chest made by the herring hall marvin safe company. I want to restore this box and use it, but i can not find any information on those chests, i would at least like to get a picture of one if anyone can help me i would greatly appreciate it.

thanking you all in advance;

I bought an older Remline tool box earlier this year. I got most of my information by searching "Remline"...........May want to also visit the Alloy Artifacts site, they may have information about it.............

Before you get too far, be sure to take some good solid pics of the decal, so you can have the option of doing some photo shop restoration. also make some careful overall measurements for it so it can be scaled properly.

That box has some good potential, and the family connections makes it even better.

In one of the big tool box threads in the last page or so, I show how to fix some of the edge damage on the kinked edges, where it is a standing hem. You need to make the tool I use but it's an easy project. The box I'm working on is one of those long Kennedy carpenter's boxes.

Interesting that the rollers are crawler casters. I've seen boxes with those occasionally, but most are replacements not original. I suspect yours might be original.
