Tool Box Liner (in Canada)

I have been searching for a decent toolbox liner material for a Snapon KR655/KR650 I recently purchased. I have mostly finished cleaning/restoring/repairing it and just need to replace the existing liners, that appear to be some useless foam.

After being unsatisfied with the materials/price of local tool stores (Canadian Tire, KMSTools, etc.) I did some research on this forum and found an eBay item that came highly reccomended: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/330489243920?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

However, this seller does not ship to Canada nor will he reply to my e-mails about making an exception. Its free shipping within the USA but I am more than willing to pay to have it shipped to Canada...

Any Canadians lurking here that have found a decent material?

I ordered some drawer liners from Gray Tools Canada for mine just took some measurements and found the closest tool box they have then ordered the drawer liners for it, they were $25 for my box and it is fairly large, I had to cut a couple but at that price it is worth it and its nice material as well.

So....what's wrong with the vinyl ribbed runner that CTC and others sell? It comes in black, brown and clear and possibly others, PAL sells some stuff too.

The CTC runners in black is what I have used for many years without issues.

Go to walmart and buy a black Everlast yoga mat. a little on the thick side but real nice. Or the Mac/Proto liners are real nice.

That's a great idea, I will look into that. Thanks.

My only issue with the stuff CTC sells is its price. I would need to buy at least 4 (maybe 5 cause of waste) rolls to line all the drawers. At $21 a roll thats somewhat unreasonable, at least for me.

mrgm/dankicksass: I will check my local Home Depot and see what they offer in the Duck branded liners. Thanks.

Are you looking in the carpet area? It sells by the foot (metre) and was pretty inexpensive last time I looked. How many drawers do you have anyway?

Hmm, no I was looking at this: http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brow...ercraft+Tool+Chest+Drawer+Liner.jsp?locale=en I also dislike this material cause its perforated, wanted more of a rubber mat.

I will check elsewhere in the store then. Thanks :)

There's 15 rows of drawers, plus the top, so I need roughly 16 pieces of 20"x30" liners (some drawers aren't full size but that is close enough). So basically 40 feet of material that is at least 20" wide.

If you have not been there yet, I found this today on my outing.

My CTC store no longer has the cut to length rolls of that vinyl runner, but has only black packaged........36" X 5FT... $15

Lowes next door has the cut to length roll in black....$4.18 a foot. They also had some stuff that was thin, kind of like carpet for $2.68 a foot but it was 27" wide or so. Might work OK too if kept clean.

Have you thought about plain corrugated cardboard, free and easily replaceable? I have used cardboard in a few places like that............

I got a chuckle out of this. I have a piece of cardboard between my Beach roller cabinet and chest. I cut it out of the box it came in back in the mid 70's and it's been there ever since. It would be WRONG to change it now.

Guess we went to different schools together.........that is exactly what is between my Beach 12 on 12, from the same source. Originally thought about cutting a piece of 1/8" Masonite to fit but thought it might be too harsh and not enough cushion.

I do love cardboard, so versatile!
