Good Evening Guys. I just picked up a toolbox off of craigslist that I can restore for my dad. As you can see in the pics that the box was poorly repainted. I tool some lacquer thinner to the marking on it and some of the label didn't wipe off. I believe it's a Williams box, but can't dig up much info on it. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I'm going to end up stripping it down and refinishing it to match the MBC box I did last year that it's sitting on in the pic.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics.

I have seen the same box on craigslist in Los Angeles. It is a Williams:thumbup: I have the same MBC box with slightly different handles marked snap- on. MBC made Snap- On Tool Boxes once upon a time. Love the color you did it:thumbup:

Thanks for the info guys. I resized the pics, didn't realize they were that large when I uploaded them. I searched all over and can't find any information on the box. Do you know where I can find how old it is or any information? I looked all over the box for a stamp, but didn't come up with anything.

Thanks

I have the exact same box and matching bottom box but mine both have a blue and silver sticker that reads AZTEC with an indian head. I inherited it from my grandpa and have tried finding more info on it but never found anyone who has heard of Aztec.

A lot of these were probably made by the same company on contract for the rest. a different paint schema, and sellers sticker, and there you go...

The real question is who made these for Williams, Aztec and probably Snap-On...
