So I Love going to garage sales but I just bought a new house, so I passed a sign that said "Man Sale" on my way to get bark with the wife and kids. But when I went to get a second load, and they were out, it was a sign for me.

:lol_hitti

I Stopped by "just to see" but when the guy said everything must go, I found what I have been NEEDING!

Like I said I bought a new house, and I have been searching CL for some cabinets and tool benches. The ones that were left were a joke, most don't even have bottoms.

I saw these cabinets and asked, he said $50 with the stuff he had in it, I countered with $25 and I would help empty the drawers. He accepted and I had my trailer ready.

What I started with:
<a href="http://s66.photobucket.com/albums/h260/Zeppe807/Garage/?action=view&current=IMG_3199.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h260/Zeppe807/Garage/IMG_3199.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Cleared:

In the trailer & Cleaning:
<a href="http://s66.photobucket.com/albums/h260/Zeppe807/Garage/?action=view&current=DSCF2753.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h260/Zeppe807/Garage/DSCF2753.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<a href="http://s66.photobucket.com/albums/h260/Zeppe807/Garage/?action=view&current=DSCF2752.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h260/Zeppe807/Garage/DSCF2752.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<a href="http://s66.photobucket.com/albums/h260/Zeppe807/Garage/?action=view&current=DSCF2750.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h260/Zeppe807/Garage/DSCF2750.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

807 IT WAS MEANT TO BE :shocking:
<a href="http://s66.photobucket.com/albums/h260/Zeppe807/Garage/?action=view&current=DSCF2754.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h260/Zeppe807/Garage/DSCF2754.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

In Temp Location until I can re do the garage completely:
<a href="http://s66.photobucket.com/albums/h260/Zeppe807/Garage/?action=view&current=DSCF2756.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h260/Zeppe807/Garage/DSCF2756.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

I plan on painting the new cabinets and completely redoing the garage.

Thanks,
Joe Zeppe 807

nice, you robbed those for $25.

I need something with drawers like that for my shed.

Oh, those are going to look so good! What a steal of a deal; you ****. What is the paint plan? Hammerite? Enamel? You don't even have to change out the handles, a little spit and polish, and you will have a centerpiece for the garage. You lucky devil!

The old cabinets look nicer, you just have to show them a little love.

I'll take the other couple of cabinets off your hands and give ya 50.00 bucks to make you feel good.

THose are real nice. I would pay $25 just to hear what your wife said when you backed up the drive way with those in the trailer and not a second load of mulch.

I'm not one really for metal style cabinets but I like those. I'd roll the inside of the drawers with some bedliner when you paint the outside of the units.

The good that parts of the old cabinets will stay, but I have re-arrange it to fit some other stuff too. I plan on a large write-up.

$25 for some old cabinets or $5,000 for an 18 drawer tool box with a work surface, I think you did O.K.

I haven't decided on the colors that will be painted, but I do plan on painting them. I am thinking Grey frame, with black drawers (or blue). I had my last garage painted grey and liked it. I would like to do the same, but would like a blue stripe around it, maybe.

Since I have moved i do not have everything organized, and have a lot to do in the garage before I paint the bench. I would like to say that the steel is about 1/32" think. If I could find my sheet metal gauge I would tell you. Of course I could mic it.

Here are some pictures of the drawers, they are about 3" deep.

I have shown my wife some of the responses to make sure she understands how good of a deal I got. I think she knew as soon as I got the bench put together, but until then she questioned my choice.

Thanks,

Lucky you're not over here, I'd have to arrest you for theft! A great steal, I'm off to look on eBay for something similar (even though I don't have a garage yet!)
