Day one went good. Had one hole that needed to have some left over cement from the old barn jack-hammered out. It got missed during the tear out.

After a little delay due to the trusses not being designed to handle the weight of a ceiling we are back on the project.

Few pictures of this weeks work.

Cut 12-18" of fill out and replaced with 3/4 clear lime stone.

Compacted until I could no longer feel my arms.

The two 12x12 overheads went in.

14x14 goes in on Tuesday.

When you can put two 12' doors and one 14' door on one gable end of your shop, you know you have a big place! Congrats on your new giant shop.

I'm starting to make plans to put the floor in my shop. But the one thing I have not gotten figured out is what to do under the overhead garage doors. I have been getting a wide variety of ideas. From just pour the floor at the same thickness to pour a beam 3' feet deep by 12" wide the length of the doors. Looking for a bit more incite. I'm in Wisconsin so frost heaving is a concern.

FWIW...in Ohio we would pour a frost footer under the door to prevent any heaving. I say this as a layman only.
