I have been looking at ebay and CL for about a year looking for a top chest. I wanted one to fit in my basement workshop. I have been tempted with the HF boxes but I wanted a Snap-On box. I saw an add on my local CL for a Snap-On top chest. After doing some research I determined it was a KRA63A. I have not seen too many of these boxes around. I contacted the seller right after I saw the add and went to take a look at the box. The box is in great shape, only some some minor scratches and scraps. The seller was looking for $400, I offered $200 and we agreed on $250. I am happy with paying $250 for this box, it is a quality box. This thing is heavy at 107lbs, 26" x 15" x 21". It was little used with most of the drawers never seeing a tool. It is complete with the owners manual and the bag of hardware for the flip up pegboard. The friction slides could use some lube and maybe a coat of wax on my new box. The only issue is the lock was drilled out, I should be able to get one from SO.
I don't know the history of the KRA63A box, when was it made?

That's a sweet deal.
As for the lock, make sure you order the plug+housing.
Original owner lost keys?

Owner said his car was broken into and the tool box keys were taken with other items. I will get in touch with Snap-On about the lock, thanks for the info.

Nice looking box for the money.

I'd have to use the pegboard feature for a while to know if I'd like it, but it's always looked like a gimmick. For those who've used it, how does it work better than a drawer or till?

I am not sure if I am going to use the pegboard or not. If I remove it it gives me more room for taller items. I too would like to see others with this box to see how you use the pegboard.

If I were to say keep garages _______ and ______. How would you fill it in?

Does anyone know what size pegs fit in this board.... The ones I have are too big a diameter.

There are no pegs for this board, there are clips that are screwed on to the board. There are three different sized clips, they hold the items pretty well.
