I was going to wait until I finished my install on my 2 Bendpak HD9ST lifts to post this, but I wanted to let you all know what a great experience I had installing the first lift. My car is sitting on it as we speak. I had some concerns and questions last Sunday when installing it and sent a PM and an e-mail to Jeff that morning, not expecting to hear back right away. But he called me on Sunday and answered my questions, allowing me to continue my assembly with confidence. On Monday night I again had a few adjustment questions and Jeff walked me through them with patience and expertise. He even insisted that I call him back when I was ready to do the first lift with my car on it! Again he walked me through that process and during this all, I gained a clear understanding of how this lift works. I'm sure the second lift assembly will go much faster and easier due to his help. It's rare to find this level of customer support today and my experience with Bendpak was refreshing. I'm sure there are other fine lifts and companies, but I would heartily endorse Bendpak to anyone.

One final thank you to Dolfan for his excellent thread on his install, I referred to it several times - see here:
http://garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=121855

I thought about documenting my install, but I don't think I could have improved on his thread.

I'll be sure to post picture when the second install is complete.

Support can be everything.

It is amazing how Jeff being the VP of such a large company who surely has way bigger issues to handle still takes the time to help individual homeowners, when there are shops and chains out there buying dozens of lifts at a time.

I had a similar experience, itemized and detailed answers to every single question I asked. No BS, no sales pitch, just the facts so I could make my own decision in my own time. Unlike the other companies I was looking at where either all I got was a sales pitch with no specific answers to my very specific questions, or no contact from anyone at all.

Well I didn't have any luck with bendpak. I purchased a 14 k alignment lift about 3 months ago had no luck with the lift or there company. I put a post on here and about the problems I had and currently still having. A guy named Gary from bendpak read the post and tried to help but no good. If you read my post you will see

I to have not had good luck with Bendpak customer service. The company I bought the lift from tried to get the needed part or solution but ultimately turned over to Bendpak themselves and I was told a new part would be sent to me soon. That was six months ago and I've heard nothing.

The problem; The small metal arm on the safety switch is not long enough for the safety arm to touch it. Seems a easy fix to me, but must be really tough for them. A new switch with a longer arm would fix it???

So good luck with Bendpak customer service.

Jeff and Gary IMO are really excellent at taking care of business. Sure there will always be some problems. I'm sorry to hear that a very few are having some trouble getting issues taken care of.
I have read this board for quite some time and have read that 99.9% of the time the BP problems are taken care of in an efficient manner by gary or Jeff. My hats off to them!

when i was having problem with my lift ( my fault) I kept getting some lady that was as smart as two rocks in a bucket. ended up google the part number and buying from Newell and another part from Stone mfg. But the lift itself I am very happy with.
