Hello from S/V Nomadness

Hi from La Conner, Washington...

I keep landing here as a result of Googling about tool chests and related topics, and I've really enjoyed the quality of discourse (especially the take-down of that bozo selling a fake SO chest last year...)

I do have a real question for you involving choice of tool cabinet for my boat, but it probably won't be seen in the Introduction forum.... so I'll just say hello here and return shortly to launch a topic about harsh-environment tool storage.

Quickie background: I wandered 17,000 miles around the US on a computerized recumbent bicycle in the '80s, spent a decade building an amphibian pedal/solar/sail trimaran in a 3000 square-foot lab that I just sold *sigh*, and am now building a lab into a 44-foot steel pilothouse sailboat... itching to get on with voyaging before I'm too creaky to enjoy it!

Oh, I forgot to mention... I also have a mobile lab that I built into a Wells-Cargo 24-foot trailer. It allowed me to move from my previous facilities to this new place without actually moving, since I relocated my primary workspace to the trailer before making the jump. Here's a photo, and there is a fairly detailed PDF about it free for the taking (it's an issue of the Nomadness Report devoted to the Polaris mobile lab).
