I have (3) tool cabinets that I plan to sell. I am looking for opinions on what I should ask for them.

(1) is a late 70s era Proto, I have pics of the lower, but the upper is still in the attic, I get pics of that tomorrow. Upper and lower are both (3) drawers.

(1) is a Homak brand, we just repainted the upper box, lower will get a good cleaning.

(1) is a Craftsman, upper and lower.

Sorry for the cell phone pics, but you get the idea of what I have.

Thanks in advance.

I try and get them cleaned up today, and post some better pictures. The shipment from Shannon, @ Strictly Toolboxes is set for next week. I need to get these listed for sale, I'm running out of space.

The Homak, and C'man are pretty run of the mill, but the I didn't know if the Proto might be of interest to someone.

I am located in Flint Michigan. North of Detroit.

I was curious about what I should ask, when I list them on C/L.

Where are you located? Any idea on the age of the Craftsman boxes?
I am not sure how to tell the age, any suggestions? We have owned it for just over (1) year. I bought it from a friend at work.

I can ask him, it's age, I know he bought it new.

Darn! I was close enough last week to have taken a look (I really like the Proto), but I'm back home now... Others here have more experience, but on a box I have I found the date stamped into the 'floor' of the top compartment in the left-front corner.

Since you asked for price advice (Keep in mind that I'm cheap and very partial to old boxes):
$100 or less would have gotten me to call about the Proto, but I would have to deal on it to take it. It might be 'worth' more or less, but that's the number that would have caught my attention.
Depending on age, quality, condition, etc, $150 would get a call for both top and bottom Craftsman boxes.

Good luck!

I would guess all 4 together are maybe worth 300 bucks. I see those types of tool boxes at the flea markets quite often and they are usually not asking more then 100 a piece unless they are Kennedy or a tool truck brand. You may be able to get more for the Proto but it's not a well known brand to most people outside of GJ. Good luck selling them.
