First, I would like to thank the contributors to this forum for ideas, knowledge and inspiration. I've been lurking here for a while now, so....
I think it's finally time to share some pictures of my garage. Don't get me wrong, it's not done yet, it's absolutely still a work in progress. And compared to some of the garages/shops on this forum it may pale in comparison - but it's mine, and it's what I want it to be.
Members of GJ seem to like to name their garages. Mine is the Shrunken Head Garage. More on that later.
I like my surroundings neat and clean. I can't always afford new items, so I tend to buy things used and then clean/fix them up. Also, for me, a garage is where I park my cars. A shed is where I store my lawn and garden tools. A shop is where I work (I don't have a shop yet). 'nuff said.
Here is the beginning of my garage project - the shed.
Without a shed I would not have had room in the garage for the cars.
Here are some shots of the garage as it is now.
You may have noticed that there is a commercial beer dispenser in the corner back there.
Let's take a closer look.
I bought this unit on Craigslist and refurbished it/cleaned it up. A good friend of mine hand-carved the custom tap handles for me. I really love craft beer, and usually have at least three local brews on tap. Right now I have all four.
The Racedeck flooring I bought used - some from a defunct motorcycle racing team and some from BigFloors (also used). I used a combination of Freeflow and Diamond Pattern. The install was very easy and i really love the flooring. Looks great, easy to keep clean, looks great...
Because my furnace and water heater are in the garage they are protected from collision by two concrete filled, steel pipes. These presented an opportunity to see just how easy it was to trim the Racedeck to fit nicely around them. I think these cuts came out pretty well.
Finally, here is what goes in the garage - 2000 Corvette Coupe, 2004 VW New Beetle, and 2005 Toyota Tacoma.
That's all for now. I hope that this will provide ideas and inspiration for others. I'm also glad to answer any questions any of you may have.
