Thanks for checking out my garage. I finally decided to put some pictures up. I develop polymer floor materials for a living and teach crews how to install them. One of the nice benefits of my job is that I got to test out a new product at my house.

That is incredible, where were you last month when I was doing my plain Jane floor. I thought mine looked great until you posted.

Great job

Wow, very nice!
You know, you are probably so immersed in your work that putting a floor in your garage probably isn't going to give you the objective assessment you are looking for. Now, if you were to put that type of flooring in MY garage, you'd really get an unbiased opinion.

Just trying to help?

Wow! That looks great....and like a lot of work! If you need another training site in Texas, I could probably hook you up. Nice work!

Thanks for the kind words guys. We actually used to test stuff in people's garages and basements, but we spent too much time shot blasting and grinding just to do a few hundred square feet at a time.

The floor is actually a terrzzo material. It is made of of an elastomeric resin and the colored chips are similar to a plexiglass material. You can beat on it with a hammer without damaging it.

Here is a close up. It is about 1/4" thick and the colors are divided by PVC strips.

Nice! How does it do with motorcycle centerstands? Centerstands are kind of a worst-case scenario, a large amount of weight point-loaded on two small little patches of sharp-edged metal. And that sharp metal is often dragged around a bit when the bike is put up on its stand, making it all the worse.

I'm sure center stands would probably dig into the floor - it's designed for softness primarily. It has stood up to jacks, jackstands and all the other abuse I've dished out so far.
