I've had a Bonester for like 5 years now. I beat the **** out of it. most recently I used it to support the front end of an old tractor in a less than safe attempt to pull it out of my garage. I ripped the rubber tire off the plastic rim on 2 of the casters and scratched up the plastic a little. I contacted Dale Adams Enterprises, the manufacturer, wanting to buy new wheels. the girl I talked to wanted to know why it wasn't a warranty issue since the wheels are warrantied for life, I said I abused it, was surprised it survived, and would gladly pay for the wheels. She said they'd ship next week, I said no problem, they are like 80 miles away, they'd arrive soon after they shipped them. A little over a week later I got 4 wheels, not 2, and a hand written note apologizing for the delay in shipping, they didn't charge me for the wheels, and here's 4 wheels instead of 2. when my Bonester finally wears out I'll gladly buy another one of their creepers.

WOW!, Just Wow!
You Sir, are a stand up person. You told them you abused the product. You could have just said the wheels fell apart. And then a second wow, the company says, no prob. we'll send you replacements.

I'm in need of a newer creeper. I'll be buying a Bonester.
And you, could be on my team any day.

Cheers,
Jim

I've never paid much attention to these bu they look nice. How do you like yours? Does it roll well? I saw try have an "off road" version but I like the lower profile of this one. I'm just curious if it rolls well on uneven surfaces. I'd probably use it on blacktop from time to time so it's not exactly smooth

I bought one when they came out about 15 years ago. Loved it then and still do. Haven't had any issues with it as I use it only on smooth concrete (no "off-roading "LOL). I've even fallen asleep while using it; not too bad for a quick nap. Don't work as many hours now and also finally got a lift but I will recommend it.

WOW after looking at bonester my craftsman creeper looks like some type of midevil torture device haha. I always DON'T use it cause it eats up my shirts,my forearms reguarly get pinched beneath the wheels and I'm actually scared I might run over my ear with one or more of the seventeen little wheels of entrapment, I'm getting a bonester. Thanks for the post!

I believe in karma... being honest benefited both parties this time. their products are so well made that I imagine they don't have a lot of warranty claims and can afford to offer a lifetime warranty on the casters. you have to run one over with a truck to damage it. I had over 500lbs on one end of mine.

mine has the smallest casters and it rolls well on semi rough, cracked concrete, other models have bigger casters, my next one will be the rough rider since I work on a lot of stuff in my gravel driveway.

Thanks for the info. I like the lower profile of the bonester because when my car is on ramps it's still a little tight so the extra inch would be nice. I think I'm going to order one.

Hey guys! I periodically browse Google to see what people are saying about our products, so we can get ideas as to if things need changed or not. I wanted to say, thanks so much for the kind words! To the OP, I'm glad we were able to make things right for you. I also believe in karma, we try to be as fair as we can be!

Well, I just bought one after reading this thread. American made product with a stand up group of people behind it.

I'm like the only person on the planet who doesn't like the Bone..... I bought one awhile back and used it for about 2 weeks, it does roll over virtually anything but it was never comfortable to me... I went back to my lisle jeepers creepers and sold the bone on craigslist for 1/2 of what i paid for it. Maybe the bonester would be a different story.

Good thread to re-appear as I am looking @ creepers. Will have to get a bone-ster @ fastenal and try it out:bounce:

Nice to hear good customer support, not suprised though. Most American made products live up to there claim's and backed by the people who make them.

I've actually been looking at creepers since my old trusty wood one is finally on its last legs. After reading this post I'll defiantly be buying a product from this company.

Keep in mind like my post, there higher off the ground and hard to store, with the rounded edges it doesn't like to stand against walls. And they don't hang good either. Warranty is good, product is good. Storage is bad, oh and if you sit on it to work low to the ground they tend to take form and stay bowed a while. They will bounce back.

i've been thinking about buying one of these, either the original one or the ruff rider as i work on a lot of heavy equipment and most of the time im on dirt or gravel, i bought a HF plastic one and used it twice before the wheels started to get ripped off, hahaha, so is the original bone creeper good enough for "off roading" or should i just go for the ruff rider, i was leaning towards the original since its a little bit lower and would give me more room to move but im kinda worried that itll get stuck when im using it. has anyone tried either one on rough terrain, and how did it do? Thanks

Is it a lot higher compared to other creepers? I'm concerned about not being able to use it for stuff at the house like working on my cars because it may be to high

Just ordered a Bone and a Tail bone.

I have had my eye on the Tail Bone for some time. The NAPA just down the street from me stocks them. They are much bigger than I thought pictures make them appear. My fat a$$ fits with room to grow.

If I weren't saving for a new welder I would have bought one months ago.

i hate creepers cause they always move when u r wrenching and get stuck on extention cords and pebles from tires but the ruff rider dog bone is one thing i have had my eye on since it came out. i work out of a big shed and when i work on cars at my house its always in the grass.

Made in Kent Ohio, they take a beating, there difficult to store and are taller then most. I haven't been able to use it much because of its height. Its to tall For lower cars.

there is no good way to hang them on a wall but this is the only downside I've found thus far.

not really, they list the ground clearance for each model on their site.

They do list the ground clearance but for me if just seems like I can get under my cars better with my lower creeper, these I think are good for trucks and trailers, cars lot so much. I think the quality of the creeper is second to none for strength and durability, just the height of it I don't like.

I bought a Bone creeper many years ago after the casters fell off a second $20 creeper. I figured it pay for itself over time. Little did I know when I bought it I was supporting felow Ohioians.

I love my Bone creeper and merely lean it against press when not in use. Now, that i see this thread, I have an idea for a "Bone Hanger". Since It's raining, maybe that'll be a garage project for today. :dunno:

Here's my 'Bone hanger'. Just a piece of steel with the ends bent in and the ends wrapped with electrical tape.
