What I don't understand is everything, from do I need a starter, if so what kind and specs, do I need an on /off switch, how do i wire the motor with 4 leads coming out? Thanks.. :willy_nil

Wish I could help you with your question.

I would suggest you posting this in the electrical section of the forum. Lots of experienced guys in there eager to help.

Good Luck.

You will need a pressure switch that will have 220v coming in from the panel. From the pressure switch to the motor you will need wiring also.

Make sure you get right pressure switch to turn the motor on and off at the correct pressure and get pressure pop off valve rated for the tank

Hope this helps!

The wires in the connector box should have numbers printed on them.
They should be numbered 1,4,5 and 8
If you want it to spin clockwise when facing the shaft end of the motor, then you connect the 230V hot lines like this:

Line 1 goes to 1,8
Line 2 goes to 4,5

For opposite rotation (CCW facing shaft end):

Line 1 goes to 1,5
Line 2 goes to 4,8

You'll need a pressure switch capable of handling 25A or more, or else you will have to use a lesser pressure switch to trip a starter switch that is capable of the amperage load.

I have the same set up. Did you ever get it up and running and if so could you post the wiring diagram? Thanks.
