The more I read, the more I don't know which product to use. Anyone have experience with all of these?? I am leaning towards epoxy-coat premium chip, but am afraid to pull the trigger. Any input to help me finally decide would be extremely helpful!
Garage is clean and 8 years old.

Wow, thanks for the compliment Scotty!
If you want to talk about my product more in depth, please feel free to give me a call. There are alot of people on this board that will attest to our products quality.

Wow.....bravo, Scotty.

To the OP, I don't have experience with all three brands you listed, just the Epoxy-Coat/Performance Epoxy.....great so far.

Will Ucoat-it or Rock Solid give you personalized service like Christine?
I never ask a question I don't already know the answer to. ;)

I've had excellent customer service from Rock Solid and I'm very pleased with their product. So much so that I added a Rocksolid link to my sig and to my website. Just because they don't spend every waking moment on this site doesn't mean they don't have great customer service. :headscrat

Do all of these products use a "Epoxy primer, epoxy basecoat with the polyaspartic topcoat" system? If no, which DIY garage floor covering product lines have this type of system?

Thanks Scotty - I am about to order the rocksolid pro series, which says "The first layer is a high strength Polyurea primer-body-coat with decorative chips broadcast into this layer. The second layer is the Polyurea clear top coat designed for added durability and abrasion resistance." This implies that the primer coat is included in the body coat?

Also, my favorite paint store recommended that I use "Mason's Select Concrete Etcher" instead of muric acid. Is that a good choice? Do I still need to grind the floor is there are no stains or grease spots?

I really appreciate the comments - sometimes too much information makes the decision more difficult!

Fancy way of saying, we don't offer a primer so we will make the basecoat the primer coat.

We also offer a kit without a primer. However, if you asked a professional flooring company to come to to your home and offer a proposal for a flooring system, it would generally include a primer, a basecoat and a urethane or polyaspartic clear coat. The system would take approx. three days to install and you would be blown away by how nice it looked.

Most of the installers on this site would not offer you a quote without it.

DLC, just wondering.... did you do your floor by yourself (1 person total) or did you have helpers (if so how many?)
It seems to me that the main negative to rock solids product is that it has a VERY short pot/bag life... After its mixed and opened you only have 10-20 min. before its too hard to roll... How did yours go? Anything learned from you putting down the rocksolid product?

I think it all comes down to the prep work and making sure the temp/humidity is ok.

I did mine by myself in about half a day. If I had it to do over again I would have gotten some help, it would have made things a LOT easier. Not sure about the pot life but as long as you keep the bag sealed it should last a long time. I had about half a bag left over and it is still usable months later. The main thing to watch out for is to not overlap once it starts drying.

So when you say "keep the bag sealed" do you mean that you poured small amounts into the roller pan at a time and thaat you didnt pour the whole bag?

I'm just wondering as you have to mix them (burst bag) before use so i wasn't sure if the "mixed" bag lasted and longer if it was in the pan or left in the bad after it was opened. So im guessing that the rocksolid flooring is solvent (aka dries by evaporation)?

We may be talking about two different Rocksolid products. Mine was the Polyurea Garage Coat and I didn't have a burst bag. Mine was a one part solution in a resealable bag. I simply poured the tint in my product, shook the bag for a couple of minutes, poured it from the bag directly onto the floor in strips, and then rolled it onto the floor.

Two reasons

1) It would have went a lot faster and would have eliminated the overlap marks

2) My back would have felt a lot better afterwards

My ucoat it floor has held up awesome going on three years now. Other than being a little dirty it looks just as good as when I rolled it down. I did a primer coat, base coat with flake, and gloss top coat. I used that gritty sand stuff only right in front of the steps in the garage so you don't slip and break your neck. My buddy has the **** from lowes and you can't even tell he did the floor a couple years later. It's pathetic! I cannot recommend ucoat it enough!!!!

I cannot comment on the other two mentioned...
