Many of us have bought from or at least heard of Harry J. Epstein. They are an old-time, family-owned (I believe) hardware store with a damn good selection of USA-made tools and an apparent commitment to USA products. I also recently learned that they will do some pretty bad-*** custom art on your packages. I mean seriously, where can you get that kind of service in 2012?
Anyway, what if we sent a message of support to this company and their products, philosophy, and practices by having a "Buy From Epstein's Day"? We could pick a day where we would all make a purchase from Epstein within the same twelve-or-so hour period. We could communicate our reasons for ordering when we bought our stuff: we support what you guys are doing and want you to keep it up.
You could order a single item or a bunch of stuff, that's up to you. The spirit would be to support a business that you appreciate by giving them the one thing a business needs most: money.
Mega-corporations that we might want to send messages to are so large that they would never know who we are or that we had even tried to get their attention. A small place like Epstein's, especially with one of owners being a member here, would definitely notice us. It's good for them and good for us, because we all love to buy and receive awesome new tools.
Post up your opinions about this. The idea might be awesome, or it might be a total *****. I've had my share of both types.

LOL Let me know the date. I get paid bi-weekly and have a few bucks extra after the Mustang parts.
