re: TM936 head conversion; normal 1/4" square to bit drive?

Hey, I've noticed the TM936 ratchets are the same as the other 1/4" 936 ratchets with just slightly different drive guts. I was wondering if anyone has done a conversion on their "normal" T936 style 1/4" ratchets with a rebuild kit; the only difference I can think of, is the Cover Plate. Anybody tried it and is the Cover Plate the same or need to be swapped, modified? Any info appreciated! I have enough 1/4" ratchets; that this conversion would be a easy way to have another style of ratchet without buying another ratchet altogether. I'm thinking; this is overdue for a dual 80 (72 tooth) update soon as well; anyone seen these yet? Any info appreciated!

Great idea! Did you look at parts diagram for the TM 936 ratchet? You can get the cover plate, repair kit etc. for $20 but it shows one part that isn't available that I am not sure is in the regular 936 ratchet been awhile since I had mine apart to grease it up since use my T72 as go to.

I did this conversion just last week and everything is plug and play. The faceplate installed just like it did with the 'TM' internals. Here are a few pics:

*edit; this is a TM936 conversion to T936 internals. I'm sure it will work the other way around aswell*
