Stopped by Harbor Freight today to check the clearance aisle, and the first thing I noticed walking through the door was one of their 44" 13 drawer roller cabinet. Apparently it was returned from a previous customer, and was marked down enough for me to buy.

Good thing is, its in great shape and has not only the keys, but all the drawer liners and both handles. Not quite like getting a Snap On for $50, but still a deal at $200!

That looks like teh old style "maroon krinkle coat" powder coat. Is that correct?

$200 is a good deal. If old returned stock and the old finish, I'd harrassed them down more.
LOL

Its the matte finish, which is what I actually prefer. I've looked at this style cabinet a couple of times, but never pulled the trigger (until today).

They had this box also on clearance:

It was marked down to $150, but was a little beat up. I believe it had been dropped at some point, as it wouldn't sit evenly atop the roller cabinet.

I just realized something, I may have an end cabinet that might just work with the cabinet I picked up today. Its just like this cabinet:

http://www.harborfreight.com/hand-t...-end-cabinet-for-roller-tool-chest-68785.html

...except its badged by MasterHand and was sold through Tractor Supply. I bought it several years ago (again on clearance) for somewhere between $50-75, and I believe its the same as the Harbor Freight end cabinet (at least I am hoping so). Its been sitting in a corner of my garage for a while now, and I believe I may have finally found a use for it. I just hope it bolts in place and works. The only small issue is the MasterHand is a dark green, but I am not too worried about the colors matching.

Green and red are complimentary colours and the only two complimentary colours that are of equal luminance. They should look good together specially in equal proportions (you may need one more for the other end). It's gonna look kinda christmassy.

I do have a couple quarts of Ford Blue, but I doubt I will go to the trouble of painting the boxes. I just hope the end cabinet will work with the HF!
