Guys, I'm about done with my restoration project on my 1962 Clausing 16SC drill press. Couple of small parts that still need attaching but for the most part the biggie is getting the motor wired up to the cord. I took it apart to strip and then paint the motor. I've attached a couple of pictures of the current wiring and the diagram on the back of the plate. I thought I labeled them correctly when I took it apart but now when I hook it all up to what I thought was correct, it blows a fuse as soon as I click the start button on the front. I'm pretty sure the wiring is correct on the front panel...it's this here that is a bit confusing...if you look at the diagram....4-3-8 are the 3 wires in the main picture below with the gold clips on them. I'm assuming 2-1-5 are the three wires currently hiding inside the motor which are barely visible....
