I really needed a small, portable band saw. After seeing the conversion kit Swag Off Road sells, I just had to have it. I ordered the Version 3 to fit my new Dewalt DMW 120 band saw, when It arrived, I was totally surprised at how heavy this conversion kit is. It's 1/4" plate steel and heavy as hell. I assembled it and am putting it to the test. I'm making custom brackets for the stair well posts in my garage addition. I'm using 3/16"x2" hot rolled steel. This thing cuts like butter, fun toy and works great! I should have done this a lot sooner. No more hand hack saws for me...!

the band saw was $281 shipped but you can buy a used saw for $100 or under if you look around. The conversion stand is from www.swagoffroad.com look under metal fabrication. They have a top plate Ver #1 that you hold in a vise for about $45 then ver #3 has legs and is $115 ans Ver #4 $110 is the same with legs for only for a select few model milwaukee saws. I bought the foot switch + $20 and the powder coat finish for + $20 plus shipping came to $167 for the complete setup. There are several other options like miter gauges etc.

I love mine. Throw a miter gauge on there and they work pretty well for cutting angles. A pic from yesterday morning:

Nice setup, my milwaukee saw just came in. $299 (free shipping). I'll be ordering the v 4 of the table.

I've got the old-generation one, so I'm jeaolus of guys who have the improved versions. But any way you slice it, the thing takes an already-useful tool and makes it useful in a whole new way.

Mine attaches to my bench vise. It makes the whole thing small enough that it stores on a shelf in a cabinet.
