Derby toolbox from Poland

I picked up this toolbox at a swap meet this morning, because it was cheap and interesting. It appears to be a Derby, made in Poland - I did a search here and found only a single reference to Derby, in the 'tools from the old world' thread. It's pretty beat up, but with a little cleaning and lubricating I think it will work well for storing small parts.

Almost looks like a Hazet box--nice score!

That's what I thought it was at first, based on the general configuration and the color. It does make me wonder how a toolbox made in Poland ever got to Minnesota, I can't imagine they were ever sold in any quantity here.

I have a Derby toolbox from Poland and is really good condition, they came out in the late 1940's , if anyone interested in it let me know and we can work out a deal, email me at [email protected] , I seen them sell as high as 300 cause they are rare because of the double handle where everything else had a handle in the center only. I also might post it on ebay.
