A while back I posted a mod I did to my tool grinder where I addapted a 3M deburring wheel to one side. I knew I would want a guard on it, but I had to figure out what I needed. After much thought I settled on using a cheap aluminum pot/pan when I ran accross one that would do the job. A few weeks ago the folks accross the street were having a yard sale so I figured I would see what they had. I could not believe they had exactly what I had in mind and offered it to me for free. I bought a few other thing just to take away the guilt...
So, here is the fininshed guard. I left the handles on for now; no reason...

Tell the truth, now. Did you clean up your shop just for the pictures?

great job, and I like that multi tool arrangement you have going on, would you mind getting a picture from farther back so we can see the whole unit?

Slick.

Nice shop.

Only problem(not really a problem)is that as it wears down you will hit the edge of the guard, pan where you cut it out.

wow.. without the handles or even the fact that you said it was a pot you would almost never know.

If you think it's better with the guard, that's all that matters. But from my POV, I see a situation where items can now get caught up and jambed or, spun around and shot back out at the operator. I would have stayed w/o the guard, but adapted a pedestal instead.

Regardless - that is one AWESOMELY equipped shop!

What I was after here was mainly dust control. As the de-burr wheel is used it sheds fibers which I did not want getting on my mill directly behind it. I find that a tool rest gets in the way more on this application.
