Gap Under Door Threshold...What to Fill With?

On my new shop, the concrete in the man door openings is a little off level. When I put the doors in, I had to shim one side somewhere between 1/4" and 3/8", and now I have a gap between the threshold and the concrete.

I want something fairly solid in the gap, so as it gets stepped on in the future, the aluminum threshold doesn't get bent. Initially I was thinking about using one of the concrete/masonry repair products that comes in a tube, but now I'm wondering if grout wouldn't be a better solution.

Any opinions either way? Or suggestions for a better way to do it?

You could pack it with non- compressable grout.

Just shim the gap accordingly with door shims so the threshold rests on the shims. Then use door and window minimal expanding foam to fill it in and seal it.

Here's what I did in the exact same situation and for the same reason.

Use a cup bit on the 4.5" angle grinder. Works great.

+1 on the foam. Just make sure the door is shut until the foam drys. Then use a serrated blade to trim the excess foam. Once that is done then go ahead and use a decent quality caulk to seal it (not 100% silicone).

Wish I would have thought of this prior to the installation. Actually, I wish I would have checked for level before the installation...the rest of the floor is really good, just the man door openings are off.

Dig the note on the floor!

On man doors I have just used one of those sweep style bottom of the door weather strips.

But I have put a wedge shaped shim on the bottom of garage doors.
