3" black acetal round rod, $12.90/ft Amazon

In keeping with lametec's Al deals on Amazon I needed some round acetal rod and went searching. Deals are not nearly as easy to find on Delrin/acetal as they are/were on Al, but I did stumble upon 3' of 3" OD black acetal for $38.69 with free shipping

I really only needed 1' of 2.5" OD, but this is obviously a better deal and I'll use it sooner or later. 2.5" tends to run around $28 per foot at both Enco and McMaster (and most of Amazon), so again, this was a no-brainer for me. In one instance I saw 1' of 3" OD priced at $114 on Amazon, but that was "thru an external website."

As usual, YMMV. By the time I get this posted Amazon may have jacked the price to $500 or more (why not)

There were 2 left in stock when he posted the deal, I think it went up after somebody bought the second to last one.

If you don't mind me asking how much did you buy?

I am trying to understand what it takes to make Amazon raise the price on an item.

I bought one 3 foot length. That's a life-time supply for me. Not sure but I believe after I bought mine there was only 1 left.
