Can you help ID this vise?

Hi All,

These are the only photos my acquaintance sent me. One is a Columbian. But the other one looks like it says FRED C. MORAN on one side and "?????? CALIFORNIA" on the other.

Anyone know anything about it? Search on here and google just found a Fred C. Moran patent for it.

Can't help ID it. but I'd love to find one like that Fred Moran with the rotating head...

I've never heard of the Fred vise, but I'd buy it in a second. You'll probably never see another one.

I don't know if they are related, but there is the morgan vise company. I have them at work and would put on par with a Columbian 500 series.

That looks similar to one I have...

IIRC I paid $40 at a goodguys show about 3 years ago. I haven't done any refinish on it, just the way I found it.
