For obvious reasons, I have an embarrassingly large collection of Cochran Speednut wrenches. If you are unfamiliar, the Speednut was an early adjustable wrench made first...

Dammitt man!
I thought you were going to announce a new line of American made tools and you were the force behind it.
Never have heard of this old line of tools.
Great , something else I think I'm gonna have to start looking for.

I find that wrench really cool looking, may have to look for one at the flea market this summer or ebay :)

This is like the Garage Journal, but for wrenches... and other tools:

Papaws Wrench

Papaw is a old Chevy truck enthusiast and wrench collector. He started using that name Papaw on a old Chevy truck forum, then later started his own wrench oriented forum, which is listed there as Tool Talk.

Lots of information there... I bet they could round up some photos/information.

I have one of these in the toolbox. It's handle is bent at a slight angle, not at the same angle of the jaws. It's only 10 degrees or so, kinda like the closed end of a combination wrench, but I'd like it to be correct and I assume this is not. Can one of you verify that it should be straight. Thanks

Thanks for the post! I just picked up one of the speednut wrenches cheaply from the 'bay and look forward to seeing it in person. The seller says that it has a little surface rust, but it should clean up nicely.
