While at my local Home Depot tonight I noticed the air drill and air impact combo they had was marked down from $89.99 to $25, this may be just my store in Cicero, NY but its worth a look if you guys are in need of a pneumatic drill or light duty impact. Not sure of the quality and not sure about the warranty.

Happy shopping

Also, look for them in the front with all of those Christmas promo items. A bunch of that stuff is all on sale now.

Yea, that's the one. My local store said the same price online, but was $35 in store. They aren't the best; not a lot of torque, but I needed something just as a secondary light duty impact.

I found that the impact has similar torque to my 20v dewalt gun, which is nothing to sneeze at to be sure. It's a little bit more of a thumper, if that makes sense... It doesn't have to go screaming fast like my dewalt to develop enough torque, so I find myself stripping screw heads much less with it. It just slowly but firmly whacks them in.

I've used it a few times since purchase, and I've quite fallen in love with it. I reach for it before my dewalt. My only regret is that it doesn't have a push-to-connect bit holder.

As far as the air drill, its reasonable for what it's meant for, which is drilling and prepping small holes. If you're doing anything larger that causes this one to stall, it's probably best done with a 500rpm version.

The thing that makes these an incredible deal is that they are both made in Taiwan and are superb quality. I've seen some top shelf stuff not quite as nice as these two. Normally Chinese air tools run $20-30 a piece, and Taiwan made air tools are usually $50 and up, for good reason, as there tends to be a big quality difference. $17.50 or even $12.50 per tool for Taiwan COO is insanely good.

This one is definitely a buy. I got in at $35 a week ago, and haven't regretted it one moment.

only if that drill had a 1/2" chuck on it...

If you read my post directly above yours, that isn't what this drill is intended for.

This is a high speed, low torque version, 2000rpm to be exact. It's high RPM is intended for drilling smaller holes, I'd say the "sweet spot" is 1/4" and less for this drill. They are incredibly popular in aircraft work, because of their high RPM and compactness. They're most comfortable doing work such as popping 3/16" holes through aluminum for rivets, etc.

For bigger jobs that would require a larger 1/2" chuck, you'd want a low speed, high torque air drill. These are usually around 500rpm.

The reason I made sure to make this distinction, was that I didn't want anyone buying one of these, loading a reduced shank 1/2" drill into it, and then be dissapointed when it stalled out. That's really not what this drill is best for.

It seems interesting that these stores mark things down at different times. But anyway great that some of you are getting them for the same price I did :)

I saw 2 at my store today for $25, but just couldn't find a reason to pick them up. I prefer my cordless tools...

Just got back from Torrington, CT Home Depot. They had 4 in stock, now 3. The weird thing is that they took down all the Christmas displays and put the left over inventory in the openbox/clearance area.

I just picked the set. I'm going to try them out work tomorrow. Hopefully I won't or other people won't have to use my m12 impact as much.

Ok, so I picked up a set of these. I don't really know where I'll use them though, as I already have a dewalt impact and a TON of drills. I really think these are cool, but will they really replace the use of the cordless stuff? Is there a special niche for these? Ideas?

Not sure about the impact driver but I plan on using the drill on the rivets that hold window regulators in on Mercedes. I don't have a 12v< cordless and air is plentiful around the shop however thats the only use I can come up with.

I got the last two they had in Danbury, CT this morning - on line it said they only had one.

I'm going to give this a try when I put down the metal roofing on my barn - I've got several thousand screws that need to be driven & wasn't looking forward to the battery swaps.

Thanks KSullivan!

I got to try these out today, and surprisingly the drill had AMAZING torque. The impact gun worked excellent, and I put the biggest drill bit I could find in the chuck and it drilled through a few inches of hardwood no problem. Even with a screw drive bit in the drill, it worked excellent and it never stalled.

Showed 2 online, 3 were in the store, marked $35, rang at $25.
I got 1. Two left.
In the front of the store with the other marked down Christmas stuff including the $5 3M LED safety glasses. I didn't get them, but probably should have.
