Hi Guys,

I just picked up this 4.5" Ridgid 45CPN. 40 bucks. I find it to be in good condition. It does have some battle scars on the surface, but that's it. (The smaller one is an Athol 114x 4" that I picked up as well)

I need a swivel base and the pipe jaws. I researched and found that, (if I'm correct), this is a re-branded Columbian.

I found the swivel base for a 604-1/2, but I do not know if it would work, as I don't have the measurements and can't do calcs from the photo. EDIT: DID THE CALCS...THE OD IS DAMN NEAR 7.5"...SO ROUGHLY ONE INCH LARGER THAN THE RIDGID. Also, it is $77, I only spent 40 on the vise, so I'm trying to stretch my dollars. Here's the link. http://www.viseparts.com/product_p/ba-10204s03.htm

Does anyone have a swivel base that would fit that is for sale? Or a 604-1/2 that is disassembled and would be willing to take measurements? Ideas?

The base of the vise is 6-11/16 to OD. and the lock down nut holes are 5" center to center. They start at 9/16" from the OD of the vise

And where do I find pipe jaws? The newer pipe jaws appear to be held in with an allen bolt through the face, where this vise has allen bolts through the side of the jaw.

Sorry this is long winded, but I just want to try to cover all bases.

Thanks!

Dave? You've stumped the GJ Boys I guess. A swivel base find will be next to impossible ( watch, the next poster will have one) Lucky for you, if you are going to be the one using it, a third hole is provided in back for a permanent mount. If you are looking to restore and keep, patience might be the best solution. Resale value on a flip I'm afraid is not going to be there.

autopts,

Thanks for chiming in. Yes, I concur, a difficult find it will be. I will probably end up milling one out...one of these days. I just can't stand bolting one of these down if they were designed to have a swivel base...OCD I suppose.

I caught the vise-bug from GJ, and I did by this for myself. I've bought 9? I think..for myself recently. lol. I try to obtain more obscure ones and/or large ones. No reason in particular...I just really like restoring/reconditioning them. Which means if I did buy one to flip, and it was actually worthwhile, it would probably be either big or rare, and then I would have to keep it. Vicious cycle.

Anyway, hopefully someone will chime in with a Columbian. Thanks again!
