well my box has been a bit tight for room lately so i was looking for another drawer. I have this pull out workbench thing that I don't really use because the shop I work at has lots of workbenches. so I pulled it out and looked underneath and noticed it was hallow like a drawer so I kinda got excited .so I pulled it out flipped it over and switched the drawer slides around so it would work upside down and their you have it a free full width wrench drawer! man i am so happy :rocker:

ha thats awesome. It looks to be painted well too

that bench top thing would have driven me crazy! It seems you would have to clean off the entire work surface to shut it, so one can access the drawer under it.

yeah it was pointless. you could read a manual on it thats about it. it's not like you could bolt a vice to it cause you gotta close it :lol_hitti . besides i got the top area on my box which is pretty much a hutch for my laptop cell phone wallet etc

Thats a genius idea man, a sliding workbench? really? how ******* retarded! Does it have another full width drawer? I have overloaded 52 inch craftsman that has million drawers and they are all 2 foot drawers it drives me crazy im lucky I dont need to lock it at work because I cant shut the top I have so much **** stacked on the top of it. Pry bars, a torque wrench, a couple big combo wrenches, a breaker bar, and half a dozen different things in cases If only I could find a free full width drawer!

thanks guys , I too think it was a fantastic idea! yes I do have another full width drawer that is 4.5" tall for all my sockets. I think I am going go start putting my prybars in this new drawer as there just laying around right now.

I had a Craftsman box with the same thing. The top "drawer" would pull out as a work surface. I removed it, cut off the front, flipped it over, welded it back on so the handle was correct, found some paint to match and I had a new drawer. It was short but worked great for files and punches, chisels.

I thought about flipping the front as the handle is upside down now :lol_hitti, but I am probably going to be trading it in soon for a snap on so I don't want to make it worth nothing.
